If additional weight is needed, paper weights or anything heavy can be placed on top of the pile to keep it down. Utensils like forks, knives and spoons can be grouped together and placed inside of a heavy bucket so that they are not disturbed by the wind. It is a foolish idea to place utensils horizontally in a basket because they will need additional care to keep them in place. Wicker baskets are relatively light in weight, and it will not take a lot for them to be knocked over. For outside parties, hosts need to inform their guests about the precautions they can take as individuals to prevent flyaway disasters.
